For agencies, partners & press
A trusted, victim-first front door for scam awareness.
The River Within complements official reporting — it never replaces it. We meet people in the moment of shame, steady them, and route them to the right authorities. We’d welcome the chance to amplify your resources to the people who need them.
How we complement official channels
Many fraud victims never report — out of shame, not carelessness. We lower that barrier: a calm, judgment-free place that explains what to do, then sends people directly to ReportFraud.ftc.gov, FBI IC3, IdentityTheft.gov, the National Elder Fraud Hotline (833-372-8311), and their State Attorney General. We don’t investigate cases, collect evidence, or imply any government affiliation.
Built to be trusted
Transparency & safety by design.
Pre-moderated, consent-only stories
Every shared story is reviewed by a person before it appears, published only with explicit consent, and anonymized. We focus on tactics, never naming private individuals.
Privacy-first & PII-aware
No ads, no analytics trackers. Submissions are screened for sensitive data and flagged for human review; we ask people never to send account numbers or IDs, and we retain submissions only as long as needed.
Accessible & plain-language
Large, readable type, high contrast, keyboard-navigable, reduced-motion aware — built for older adults and people in distress.
Clear corrections & takedown
A published right-of-reply and prompt takedown process. See our Disclaimer & Privacy.
Impact
What we track (and will publish).
Aggregate, non-identifying metrics — published transparently once live.
