Why Gift Cards?
The details may be different, but the request is the same.
What many people don’t realize is that gift cards are often requested because they are difficult to trace and easy to convert into value.
No legitimate government agency, military organization, hospital, airline, or financial institution conducts business through gift cards.
The moment someone asks for gift cards, it should trigger immediate caution.
Questions To Ask Yourself
- Why can’t this be handled through normal channels?
- Why am I being asked instead of family or friends?
- Why is there urgency?
- Why does every problem require money?
- Would I advise my best friend to send this payment?
